ELHAM CHURCH CHOIR

"To sing is to pray twice" – St Augustine of Hippo

 
Every Sunday, this voluntary choir sings at the 9.30 a.m. and some other services. For this we prepare an introit and an anthem as well as Hymns.  We sing on other occasions too such the monthly evening service as well as at weddings and funerals.  Our organist and choir director is Mr. Lloyd Davies mlsjdav@yahoo.com (Tel:01303 260 713).  On special occasions such as Carol and United services, friends from other churches also sing in the choir.  We are affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM)
 
But - we need more men - especially tenors so come and join us!  No auditions are held for members.  The choir wishes to reflect the musical competence within its local parish without any ability selection which would thereby create a musical elite that some might not be able to join.  Click on the links opposite to listen to us.
 
Choir practice is on most Thursdays at 5.00 p.m. in St. Mary's Church Hall, Elham.
